Mariann Weierich PhD
Principal Investigator Dr. Weierich is the James K. and Lois Merritt Mikawa Professor of Clinical Psychology and Professor of Integrative Neuroscience at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is also Director of the Nevada ENDURE program. Dr. Weierich earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Yale University, where she also trained in vision science. She completed her internship and NIH postdoctoral fellowship at the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder/VA Boston, and a fellowship in affective neuroscience at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging/Harvard Medical School. Glenn Blessington MS
Doctoral Candidate Glenn is a fifth year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. Glenn earned his BA in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University, and an MS in Cognitive Neuroscience from the City University of New York. He is interested in the neurobiological underpinnings of psychopathology, with a focus on stress-related disorders and the maladaptive coping mechanisms that accompany them. |

Kieffer Christianson MA
Doctoral Student Kieffer is a fourth year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. Born and raised in Alaska, he earned his BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Dartmouth College and his MA in Psychology from Boston University. Kieffer is interested in leveraging digital technology to enhance understanding of brain-behavior relationships, especially in people who have experienced neurological and/or psychological trauma. |

Nandita Banik BA
Doctoral Student Nandita is a second year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. Nandita graduated with a BA from Grinnell College, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Policy Studies. Post college, she worked at a clinical research lab that focused on sleep and psychopathology. Nandita is interested in using a multi-method approach to study the mechanisms involved in developing and maintaining stress in individuals who have been exposed to trauma. |

Joyce Gurdock BA
Doctoral Student Joyce is a first year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. She earned her BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she double majored in Psychology and Biological Anthropology. Joyce has worked in several labs ranging from anthropology to medicine and has an interest in biological psychology and behavioral neuroscience. Her most recent experience involved working in a clinical research lab focused on post-traumatic stress and insomnia in veterans. Joyce is interested in understanding the psycho-neurobiological etiology of stress and anxiety disorders and how adverse or traumatic events affect physiological outcomes. |

Sarah Savell BS
Masters Student Sarah is a masters student in the Integrative Neuroscience Program. Originally from Mississippi, she earned a BS in Biology from UNR in 2015. Fascinated by the human brain, Sarah is most interested in the genetic and environmental influences on the development and course of PTSD in survivors of natural disasters. She plans to earn a PhD in Neuroscience and pursue a career in scientific research within academia. |

Eio Olazo BS
Post-Bacc Research Assistant Eio graduated from UNR with a major in psychology and a minor in geography (cartography). They have been intrigued with how stress and trauma events can shape the lives of people throughout their lives - especially in sexual minorities. Furthermore, they are interested in the application of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to relieve stress. Eio plans to pursue a PhD in psychology. |

Daniella Cristando
Undergraduate Research Assistant Daniella is a Junior McNair scholar and the Diversity officer for UNR’s chapter of Psi Chi. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Addiction Treatment Services. Daniella is interested in the overlap between neurobiology and psychopathology, and specifically the role of women's health and hormones in stress-related disorders. Daniella plans to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology and pursue a career in scientific research and academia. |
